RE/MAX Cayman Islands was proud to sponsor the 8th annual Light Up the Night walk for the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Cayman Islands.
Every year, people gather to raise awareness of breast cancer and generate funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation and this year was the most successful walk in the event’s 8 year history with not only more participants than ever, but more funds raised. This year’s event was attended by 766 people who generated more than CI $25,000 for the Foundation.
“These funds are raised to help people who are struggling with breast cancer whether it’s when they are going through the process of chemotherapy and radiation or afterwards through our support group who helps them handle the effects of this terrible disease. But the good news is we get tremendous community support and this is our best year ever,” commented Kim Lund RE/MAX Broker/Co-Owner and Breast Cancer Foundation Founder and Board Member.
The family-friendly walk which started at Royal
Palms saw hundreds of people holding pink balloons as they walked to The Ritz-Carlton and back creating a magical night for everyone involved. Miss World Candidate 2017 Kristin Amaya led the walkers and then assisted in the raffle.
“The incredible event is all in the aid of raising funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation and breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as awareness,” said James Bovell, RE/MAX Broker/Co-Owner and Breast Cancer Foundation Founder and Board Member.
